I do think a blog can be a good way to help with both SEO and a pre-sale mechanism for a sales force. When I bought my most recent car (a 30k Volvo) I started my search online and ended up emailing at least 10 dealerships within Southern California. Although the internet sales managers were receptive I did notice that they were not nearly as internet savy as I would have expected. It would have been helpful to me to be able to learn about the dealerships, people and services offered from a blog format. For some reason, it does seem like the auto industry has been slow to use these new communication methods.
